About Us

Pam Chandler began her life long passion for animals at a young age living in a home with multiple Doberman Pinschers.  Her innate understanding of dogs and calm demeanor was a magnetic quality for any four legged friend that she came in contact with.  When her children were young, Pam volPamC_Holiday2014_DSC_3663unteered at her local shelter.  It didn’t take long for her to realize she wanted to make a difference in the lives of animals.  After many years of rescuing, fostering, and adopting out rescue dogs, she was asked to sit on the board of a well known animal rescue group in North County San Diego.

Pam was one of 3 original board members and founders.  She served as the Executive Director and Adoption Coordinator for 6 years.  Rescue work brought many behavior needs dogs her way and her passion extended into education and dog training.  Pam is currently the dog trainer for Last Chance at Life All Breed Animal Rescue Group.

Pam is also very proud to add to her resume the position of Director of Marketing at Mission Animal & Bird Hospital.  She worked at MABH for 4.5 years and received a solid understanding of basic medical needs, dangers in the environment, symptoms to be aware of, and behavioral issues in our canine friends.

Pam has her CDTK certification in Dog Training and regularly attends opportunities for continued education in Animal Behavior.  Pam is also an approved evaluator for the AKC for S.T.A.R Puppy Certifications as well as Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) Certifications.

Pam lives in North County San Diego and Dog Sense Dog Training is in North County as well, but will travel to other areas for in home dog training in San Diego County.
